New Delhi: UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi’s name finalized as interim President of the AICC. The Congress party highest decision making body Congress Working Committee finalized her name on Saturday night at 11.00 pm, after a daylong marathon meeting of the CWC.

  Mrs. Sonia Gandhi would be the interim President of the party till the AICC elect’s a new President, said in a press conference on Saturday.

  Congress Chief Spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said that she was the best weapon on the party had in these trying circumstances. That’s why the CWC had decided on her name. Mrs. Gandhi can be seen to be a compromise as President at by the senior and junior leaders which were struck on their own choices.
