Uddhav sworn-in –as Chief Minister of Maharashtra: Six Ministers took oath

Mumbai: Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari administered the oath with Siva Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray as Chief Minister on Thursday at 6.45 pm at Shivaji Park in Dadar. Siva Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray accompanied by his wife Rashmi and son Aditya Thackeray to the Shivaji Park for the swear-in ceremony.

   Uddhav Thackeray is the 18th Chief Minister of Maharashtra. He is the 8th Chief Minister, who is not having the membership in Assembly or in Council.

   Uddhav Thackeray first offers Namaskar to the statue of Chatrapati Shivaji at the park, later he went to the dias and took oath as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. After taking the oath he shows his hands to the Siva Sena workers and bows his head from the dias. Siva Sena workers chanting slogans at the time of Uddhav Thackeray’s swear-in ceremony. After the Thackeray’s oath, Siva Sena LP leader Eknath Shinde took the oath. Later Siva Sena’s Subash Desai took the oath. Later NCP LP leader Jayanth Patil, Chhagan Bhuj Bal and Congress LP leader Bala Saheb Thorat and Nitin Rout took oath as Ministers in the Thackeray’s cabinet.

  Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath, Congress senior leaders Kapil Sibal, Abhishek Manu Sanghvi, Ahmed Patel, MNS Chief Raj Thackeray, NCP Chief Sharad Pawar and others attended the ceremony. BJP former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, BJP leader Chandrakant Patil were also present.   Prominent industrialist Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani and son present at the dias.
