PM called Mamatha on Covid- 19 status

Kolkata: As per the reliable sources it learns that Prime Minister Narendra Modi called up West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Benerjee on Friday. He appreciated the steps taken by the state government to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Modi asked the current situation in the state in the backdrop of the Covid-1119 outbreak. PM Modi also praised the measures taken by her government to help citizens during the lockdown. After the Prime Minister, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and External Affairs Minister S. Jai Shankar also called up Ms Benerjee and took stock of the situation in the state, the sources said.
