PM Modi: It is India’s duty to assist other nations

Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi stressed on that fact that India considers vaccines as not only vital to good health but also as a global good and that it is India’s duty to assist other countries, including the nations in India’s neighbourhood, the collective fight against Covid- 19.

He also asked scientists for their suggestions on how the country could improve its regulatory processes further, said PMO office in a press release. Modi had flown into Hyderabad on Saturday afternoon from Ahmedabad, where earlier in the morning he told the facilities of Zydus Biotech that is developing the ZyCov- D vaccine for Covid- 19. PM landed at the Hakimpet Airforce station in Hyderabad.

Modi headed for Pune from Hyderabad where he visited the facilities of Serum Institute of India that will be manufacturing the AstraZeneca- Oxford vaccine.
