Muzaffarnagar/ New Delhi: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra met the families who bore the brunt of the violent protests against CAA and NRC on Saturday. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra made sudden visit the victims of the alleged police atrocities in Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh.
All the injured persons accused the police of unleashing a reign of terror and thrashing them for no fault of theirs, she said. Police entered the Madarasa and thrashed the students of Madarasa, minors and beat up Moulana and his students, she added. Priyanka said that she met Moulana, minors and students of Madarasa where police brutally thrashed and beat them without any reason. Some of them have been released and some are still in police custody, she added.
Former Union Minister Yashwant Sinha said that his party Rashtra Manch will take out a “Bharat Jodo Yatra 2020” from Mumbai to New Delhi to demand withdrawal of CAA.
