Road, Train Travel Just After May 3: GoM

New Delhi: The government not had taken any steps to the relaxation of lockdown in the country. The group of ministers held a meeting on Saturday under the chairmen ship of defence minister Raj Nath Singh.

The GoM suggested resumption of domestic flights in certain safe areas after the nationwide shutdown in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic ends on May 3. The GoM decided that after taking information from the states and reviewing the status of the virus spread in cities, and then only allow the flights and trains to ply.

According to the official sources the ministers were not in favour of any immediate relaxation of inter-state movement, by other modes of transport like trains or public and private vehicles even after May 3. Any extension of lockdown period, whether to be done or not will be decided after taking stop of the situation across the country.
