Hyderabad: The Telangana Government has nominated folk singer and lyricist Goreti Venkanna, former MLA B. Saraiah and Arya Vaisya leader B. Dayanand for three MLC vacancies under Governor Quota.

The State Cabinet cleared the names on Friday and sent them to Governor Tamilisai for approval. The MLCs slots fell vacant following completion of term of Nayini Narashima Reddy and K. Prabhakar a few months ago. The Chief Minister KCR accommodated the three persons one is a writer, one is from BC community and one is from Vaisya community.
