
Jagan, KCR Discussed on Godavari, Krishna Water Linkage
Hyderabad: AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Telangana Chief Minister KCR discussed on sharing of water, State-Center relations and other related issues. The two chief ministers met at Pragathi Bhavan, the residence of Telangana Chief Minister KCR on Monday.
The meeting starts at 05:30pm and had lengthy talks of about four hours between the two chief ministers. These meeting held without any officials or any other politicians, except the two chief ministers only. After the meeting an official press note released the Telangana CM Office about the two chief minister’s discussions.

As per the CMO’s press release the both CM’s have decided to interlink Godavari and Krishna river water to ensure there was lesser need to make vexatious land acquisitions and reduce losses. The two CM’s have decided to adopt a friendly, give and take approach regarding common issues. They both felt that the linking of rivers and a common understanding on the utilization of water would help both states.
AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy positively responded the request of Telangana Chief Minister KCR to provide training facilities to the 4000 newly recruiting constables in AP. Mean while, the two leaders also discussed other political issues at length, particularly the BJP, which is striving to emerge as the main opposition in both states. They also discussed economic recession, center-state relations among others.
Sources said the Mr. Rao asked Mr. Reddy about the new excise policy being adopted by AP. At present, liquor outlets are run by the AP Government only, whereas Telangana has to decide on its new excise policy by the month state.
