KCR Invites RTC Workers to Join Duty

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandra Sekhar Rao said to the RTC workers to resume their duties from Friday onwards unconditionally. He said that the cabinet decided to gave them a chance to resume the duties. He also hiked fares by 20 paise per km from December 02nd onwards.

    He appealed to the temporary staff not to attend duty and said they would be given a chance in the future. He also thanked them for serving the people when the RTC workers were on strike. Speaking to the media persons after the cabinet meeting, he said that the RTC workers are our children and he decided to release Rs. 100 cr as immediate relief to the RTC.

    The Chief Minister announced that the govt will provide a job to each of the family members of RTC workers to die during the strike. He also said that the government had nothing against the RTC workers; they had dragged their families on the road by falling into the trap of the unions. He also alleged that the unions and opposition parties are responsible for the suicide and deaths of RTC workers.

    The Chief Minister said that the government would not recognize RTC trade unions in future, it would talk directly to the RTC workers not with the trade union leaders.
