Moral education in schools from next year: KCR

Hyderabad: Moral and ethical values will become part of the curriculum in the educational institutions, said Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandra Sekhar Rao. KCR released the Autobiography of the former DGP H.J. Dora “Journey through Turbulent Times” at Pragathi Bhavan on Thursday.

In his address on the occasion he felt the education system should be such that it inculcate and enhances moral and ethical values while removing criminality. The process of creating a value based society will start with academic lessons being prepared in consultation with former DGPs and spiritual teachers like the Jeeyar Swami, he said.

The CM also said that our Government is committed to move in this direction with dedication. He also said that we feel that from coming academic year, value based education should be taught in educational institutions across the state. The Government will prepare lessons in this regard. The Government will appoint a committee with former DGPs, and also seek advice and suggestions from spiritual teachers like Sri Jeeyar Swami and others.
