Kagaz Nagar: Police arrested the ZP Vice Chairperson Koneru Krishna, Komrambhim district on Sunday along with 15 followers in the case of attack on the forest range officer C. Anitha. According to the police sources a case was registered of attempt to murder and obstructing forest officer from performing duties.

      The FRO Ms Anitha and her team went for a tree plantation drive in a 20 hc. Degraded forest land in Komrambhim, Aasifabad district at Sirpur Kagaz Nagar. The FRO take plantation drive, aimed at afforestration, is a part of the Kaleshwaram irrigation project. The local villagers reportedly did not want the land on which they were cultivating illegally to re-claim by the govt.

      According for the sources the tension had prevailed for the issue for the last few days caused to trouble, the FRO reached along with 30 policeman and 30 forest guards for the plantation land. When the FRO and her staff and Policeman reached at the land for plantation. Suddenly the ZP Vice Chairperson Koneru Krishna, is a brother of local MLA Koneru Konappa and TRS activists attacked on the FRO C. Anitha with huge wooden sticks surround her and land blows on her and the tractor she is standing on. The mob continues its attack even as other police officers tried to shield her and push them away.
