Amaravathi: Senior IPS officer Gowtham Sawang appointed as DGP of Andhra Pradesh. Andhra Pradesh government issued orders with additional responsibility to Gowtham Sawang as full-fledged DGP, along with DG of Vigilance and enforcement.

                DGP RP Thakur transferred as commissioner, Printing, Stationery and stores, purchases. The Intelligence chief Kumar Vishwajit transferred as a ADG of ACB, ACBDG AB Venkateshwar Rao transferred to police head quarters. AB Venkateshwar Rao was not posted in any other post.
