New Delhi: Congress MPs elected UPA Chair person Sonia Gandhi as Congress parliamentary party leader. The congress MPs met at Central Hall in parliament on Saturday. The former Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh proposed Sonia’s name as for CPP leader, the remaining MPs and the leaders accorded their consent by raising their hands up.

            Congress MPs gave consent to Sonia, to elect Congress Lok Sabha, Legislature party leader. Later Sonia Gandhi said that the party cadre did not afraid of the defeat in general election. She also directed the MPs to keep efficient opposition role in the parliament as well as in the Lok Sabha to unite with likeminded parties in Rajya Sabha.

        The Congress will act as a constructive opposition role in reforms and key agenda in the parliament, said Sonia. She also said that CPP will oppose the governments division and roll back politics.
