New Delhi: Union Government on Friday administered One crore doses of Covid – 19 vaccines in a single day and achieved a new milestone in the country in Covid – 19 vaccine drive.  Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a tweet congratulated the people making the immunization exercise a success.

He also said in another tweet that record Covid – 19 vaccination numbers today! Crossing One crore is a momentous feat. Kudos to those getting vaccinated and those making the Covid – 19 vaccinations drive a success.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said the hard work of health workers and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s free vaccine for all initiative is showing results. According to the CoWIN portal data1, 02, 06,475 vaccine doses had been administered on Friday.  As per the CoWIN portal, over 14 crore people in the country have received both doses of Covid vaccines.

Uttar Pradesh administered the highest number of doses at 28.62 lakh, followed by Karnataka at 10.79 lakh doses, as per data on the CoWIN website.
