
Siva Sena, NCP and Congress made 162 MLAs parade
Mumbai: The Siva Sena, NCP and Congress parties invited Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Monday to see the parade of their MLAs at a five star hotel. The Siva Sena MP Sanjay Rout in his tweet said that we are having the total support of 162 MLAs.
The Siva Sena, NCP and Congress parties shifted their MLAs to Hotel Hayat on Monday evening from different hotels, where they stayed in the past. The three party leaders requested the Governor B.S. Koshyari, to invite them to form the Government if the BJP fails to pass the floor test in the Assembly. The three parties parade was held at hotel Grand Hayat with a number of 162 MLAs at 7pm on Monday. Siva Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray, NCP Chief Sharad Pawar and Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge were present.
The MLAs were asked to stand up and take a pledge under the Constitution that they would not fall prey to any influences by the BJP. The Siva Sena and Congress MLAs were brought to the hotel were the NCP MLAs were staying. The parade attended MLAs are 51 from NCP, 56 from Siva Sena and 44 from Congress and 11 from small parties and independents. The parade participated MLAs pledged that “I swear that under the leadership of Sharad Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray and Sonia Gandhi, I will be honest with my party. I won’t be lured by anything. I will not do anything which will benefit the BJP”.
Speaking at the parade Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray said the BJP will have to make way for the tri-party alliance Government in Maharashtra. The strength of our alliance cannot be captured on any camera lens. We have arrived, clear our way. We are not here for just five years we are starting from Maharashtra and then we will move ahead. The NCP Chief Sharad Pawar said that this is not Goa, this is Maharashtra. I will take personal responsibility to ensure no MLA loses membership for voting against the BJP.
