BJP Lost in Jharkhand Polls: Cong-JMM Won 47 Seats

Ranchi: Congress-JMM alliance won clear majority to form government in Jharkhand, which was election held from November 30 to December 20 in five phases.

      Jharkhand assembly is having 81 seats. The magic figure to form a government is 42 seats. The Congress – JMM-RJD alliance won 47 seats in the elections, BJP won only 25 seats JVM 03, others 06. BJP lost its government in Jharkhand.

        The BJP, JMM, Congress, RJD, AJSU and JVM-P were the main political parties in the fray. The primary fight, however, was between the BJP and the JMM-Congress-RJD alliance. The Congress-JMM alliance designated Hemanth Soren is the Chief Minister of Jharkhand from alliance.

      Hemanth Soren is the son of the JMM founder Sibu Soren and he was the CM of Jharkhand only for 14 months before the 2014 elections.
