New Delhi: BJP Leaders seeking to mobilize support for the CAA on Monday launched a campaign on social media to highlight its features with the hash tag of “India’s Supports CAA”.

They post a video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the spiritual Guru Sadguru Jaggi Vasudev backing the legislation. “In this video Sadguru Jaggi Vasudev explain about the CAA. He provides historical context, brilliantly highlights our culture of brotherhood. He also calls out the misinformation by vested interest group’s # India Supports CAA”, said Modi in his tweet.

The twitter handle of Modi’s personal website also had a message saying that the CAA is about giving citizenship to persiquited refugees and not about taking anyone’s citizenships. It also asked people to share content, graphics and videos from the prime ministers NaMo app to show their support for the law, which triggered protects in different parts of the country. Union Minister Amit Shah also posed Sadguru’s video and said “Stop believing lies and half truth on CAA”.
