New Delhi: The New Delhi Municipal Council on Thursday in a notice said that Central Park in Connaught Place will remain closed to the public on October 16^th and 17^th for administrative reasons.

The Civic Body took the decision of closure of the Central Park ahead of the CJP’s “Lehra Do Tiranga” march scheduled on Friday as Delhi Police urged the public to stay away from the gathering. The park’s closure comes after the Delhi High Court declined to restrain the CJP from holding the protest. NDMC in a statement urged the police to ensure adequate security to prevent unauthorized access to the park.
