Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin visited the stampede victims at Government and private hospitals in Karur who are undergoing treatment.

He assured the victims the Government is with them and ordered the hospital authorities to offer good services to the victims. By knowing this stampeded on Saturday night CM MK Stalin announced an exgratia of
Rs. 10 lakhs to the deceased families and One Lakh rupees to the seriously injured persons.

He also said in twitter account that he will visit the deceased and the victims of the stampede at the hospitals on Sunday. He also ordered an investigation into the stampede by a one-member panel, headed by retired High Court Judge Justice Aruna Jagadeesan.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his twitter account said that the unfortunate incident during the political rally in Karur is deeply saddening. My thoughts are with the families who have lost their loved ones. Wishing strength to them in this difficult time. Praying for a swift recovery to all those injured, he said.

Tamil Nadu Dy. CM Udayanidhi Stalin also visited the victims at hospitals and assured the victims for the better treatment.
