Chennai: Actor and TVK Chief Vijay debuting in two constituencies from Tiruchy East and Perambur. He unveiled a 10-point comprehensive manifesto in Nungambakkam on Sunday for youth agenda aimed at changing the future of the State’s youth. He also released all 234 constituencies contested candidates list

Speaking on the occasion he said that if they come to power, they will definitely implement these promises, and that these are not just promises, but a guarantee. He said that this is not just a promise; this is a TVK guarantee… your brother Vijay’s guarantee. Responding to the growing unemployment problem in the State, he reiterated that education, employment and governance reforms are his main goals.

Tamil Nadu Recruitment Accountability and Transparency Act will be brought for Government job recruitment, he said. Through this, a fixed calendar will be released every year for filling up jobs and the recruitment process will be completed within a year. Till the completion of this process, graduates above 25 years of age will be provided with unemployment allowance of Rs. 4,000 per month and those who have completed diploma and ITI will be provided with Rs. 2,500.

With the aim of ensuring that financial difficulties do not become a barrier to higher education, loans of up to Rs. 20 lakh will be provided without any collateral under the Education Guarantee Scheme. Also, an internship program will be set up for five lakh youth every year and a stipend of Rs. 10,000 will be given to graduates and Rs. 8,000 to diploma holders.

To promote entrepreneurship among the youth, collateral-free loans of up to Rs. 25 lakh will be provided. Tamil Employment Credit System will be introduced to encourage companies that provide jobs to at least 75% locals.

He said that one of his main goals is to build a drug-free Tamil Nadu. In addition to bringing strict laws, he would set up anti-drug clubs in schools and colleges to create awareness at the field level, he added. To make Government services more accessible to the people, he would appoint youth as Chief Minister’s People Service Associates in local bodies and give them an honorarium of Rs. 18,000 per month.

He announced that a Youth Advisory Council would be formed for youth participation in policymaking. Capital for 1.5 lakh youth under the ‘Creator-Preneur’ program and the establishment of 500 special schools across the state are on his agenda. All these announcements are to secure the future of the youth of Tamil Nadu, and Vijay clarified that his party will do politics with youth as the center in the upcoming assembly elections, he added.
