CJP demands resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for the accountability of NEET-UG question paper leak: CJP’s Dipke
New Delhi: Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for the accountability of NEET-UG question paper leak.
The CJP staged a protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on Saturday and its President said that he will not leave the protest site until unless the Union Education Minister resigns. Hundreds of students and youth have gathered to protest against examination irregularities, including the NEET-UG question paper leak.
The protest started earlier in the day amid heavy police deployment as students sloganeered and held placards seeking answers from the Government over alleged failures in ensuring transparent examinations and protecting the interests of aspirants. Supporters responded to Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke’s call to bring thali and chammach using them as symbols of protest and banging them during the demonstration.
He also urged the Delhi police to extend permission for the youth-led protest. Addressing a large number of students and supporters demonstrating at the second protest organized by the CJP at the Jantar Mantar, he said that I request the authorities, since youth from all over the country is here. They want to sit here till we get justice. I request Delhi Police to extend our permission. The protest has been peaceful; we are just innocent students who want to sit here.
Dipke also said that the channel for dialogue is open, but the only condition is that Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan should resign. He also requested Delhi Police to open a dialogue with the Centre and asserted if there are arrests, I will be the first to court arrest.
Chants of Dharmendra Pradhan must resign echoed at the venue, as protesters renewed their demand for accountability over issues related to examination management.
We are here to solve today’s students’ problems, he said. Echoing this sentiment, many participants admitted uncertainty about the future direction of the movement. Supporters wore cockroach masks at the protests and held placards showing if the deaf are to hear, the sound has to be very loud and sack Union Education Minister.
Ahead of the protest, Dipke had written an open letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demanding that accountability be fixed over the concerns raised by students.
