Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated Kanha Shanthi Vanam meditation centre

Hyderabad: “The practice of Sahaj Marg and heartfullness learning will help in bringing about individual and collective transformation across the globe, said President Ram Nath Kovind. He inaugurated the largest meditation centre “Kanha Shanthi Vanam” on Sunday.

The Kanha Shanthi Vanam now will serve as the global headquarters heartfullness institute, who practice meditation. President Ram Nath Kovind planted a sapling to mark five lakh trees in the campus. The sapling is one of Diospyros Candolleana or Panicled Abony, an International Union for Conservation of Nature red listed threatened species.

On this occasion, President in his address said that it is reassuring to see that Sree Ramchandra Mission (Heartfullness Institute) is continuously expanding its outreach for the benefit of the world community. Efforts of the mission in developing Kanha Shanthi Vanam deserve special commendation. As a commemoration of 75 years of Heartfullness Institute, three – 3 day sessions from January 28th to 30, February 1st to 3rd and February 7th to 9th will host approximately 1.2 lakh practitioners who are taking part in mass mediation activity.

A volunteer of the institute said that the campus is located with 1400 acres of land, it is a barren and rocky land once upon a time. But now it has five lakh trees, many of them are rare and red listed. They have been nurtured to create a micro-climate for meditation practitioners, he said.
