New Delhi: Senior BJP Leader and Former External Affairs Minister Smt. Sushma Swaraj [67] passed away on Tuesday late night of a cardiac arrest at the AIIMS.

    As per the sources, Sushma Swaraj complained of serious chest pain and collapsed at her residence. The family members of the Sushma Swaraj immediately rushed to the AIIMS for treatment. She was brought unconscious to the hospital at 10:15pm and after undergoing treatment in emergency ward, she passes away.

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with the several top BJP leaders and union ministers reached AIIMS. Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Transport Minister Ghatkari were among the first party leaders to reached the hospital.

   President Ramnath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, AICC President Rahul Gandhi, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Benarjee and other parties political leaders expressed their grief sorrow on her demise, and conveyed their condolences to the family members of the Sushma Swaraj.

Sushma Swaraj mortal will kept at BJP Head Quarters, New Delhi at 12:00 to 03:00pm for the public visit, later the funeral starts from the BJP Head Quarters.
