New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the Bharata Ratna conferred on Former President Pranab Mukherjee is a fitting recognition for his service to the nation. Pranab Mukherjee was conferred the highest award by President Ram Nath Kovind on Thursday.

        Modi in his tweet on Friday tweeted that thank you for leaving no stone unturned towards making India more developed. It was an honour to witness you receiving the Bharata Ratna, a fitting recognition of everything that you have done for the nation.

         Pranab Mukherjee said that he was honored more high with this award, what I have served to the nation. Bharat Ratna award was conferred the Assami Singer Bhupen Hajarika and RSS leader Nanaji Deshmukh Posthumousli.
