
Delhi and many states make masks to wear public compulsory
New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Aravind Kejriwal said that wearing of the masks in the city is a must. He convened a meeting on Wednesday with Deputy Chief Minister Sisodia and Health Minister on the Covid- 19 epidemic issue.
Wearing of facial masks can reduce the spread of Covid- 19 substantially. The Government has been decided that the facial masks will be compulsory for any stepping out their house. He also said cloth mask shall be eligible too, said in a tweet. The Governments of Delhi and UP made the masks a mandatory for residents to cover their faces before stepping out of their houses. Both states have warned of action, possibly a penalty, in case of non-compliance.
Mumbai and the states of UP, MP and Odisha made the wearing of face masks mandatory for the people stepping out of their homes from Wednesday onwards. In the Union territory of J & K the mandatory masks rule announce on Wednesday was limited to all officers, staff and visitors to the Civil Secretariat. While in the U.T of Ladakh it applied to the general public as well as the Government officials including Armed forces personal and violation was made a punishable offence.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan made the wearing of masks compulsory in MP. He urged the people too compulsorily to put on mask before stepping out of the house.
