Hyderabad: Cine actor Prakash Raj condemned the arrests of CJP Co-conveners Sourav Das and Ashutosh Ranka at Jantar Mantar who is holding tri-colour flags in their hands.

Prakash Raj released a video on Wednesday and he strongly reacted to the restrictions imposed on protests at Jantar Mantar in Delhi and the arrest of Cockroach Janata Party leaders. He warned the Central Government that the protest venue can be changed, but the voice of the people cannot be silenced.

CJP leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were arrested by the police and sent to five-day judicial custody. The entire country will become Jantar Mantar, he commented. He made it clear that people will not tolerate actions that trample on democratic rights and will continue to question the Government.

He recalled that he had also participated in the CJP protest held in Bengaluru in the past. He stated that it is everyone’s responsibility to speak up for the protection of democracy. The latest arrests have been made as part of the CJP’s agitation for some time, alleging irregularities in the electoral rolls and demanding the resignation of CEC Gyanesh Kumar.
