
Covid-19 Cases Growth Rate 40% Down Since April 1st
New Delhi: According to the Union Health Ministry India has witnessed a significant decline of 40% in growth of Covid-19 cases since April 1st, compared with a fort-night earlier.
While the Covid-19 cases rate of doubling has fallen from every three days before the National lockdown began to 6.2 days currently said the joint secretary Lav Aggarwal of Health Ministry. The centre attributed the improved situation to social distancing and containment method working.
The rate of recovery is also rising, while the fatality rate remains slow. The recovery rate rose from 10.6% (1437 out of 13,541 cases) as on Thursday to 13.06% as on Friday. We have seen an average growth factor of 1.2 since April 1st. Between March 15 and March 31st, it was 2.1. This mean there is a 40% decline in an average growth factor of Covid-19, he said.
Kerala recorded the most recoveries (245), followed by Telangana (186) and Tamil Nadu (180). Maharastra and Rajasthan recorded 154 recoveries each. But in Delhi only 51 (3%) out of 1640 Covid-19 positive patients recovered as on Thursday, though the big increase in the cases due to the Tabligee Jamaat outbreak came to like in third week of March.
