
Government Sets Fare Range For Flights: Min Rs. 2 K, Max Rs. 18,600 as per Length of Trip
New Delhi: The government has fixed minimum and maximum fares for domestic flights, effective till 11.59pm on August 24th that will resume the domestic services in the country from Monday. The airlines fixed flight charges based on flying time, there are seven categories: the fares starting at price below 40 minutes having a range of Rs. 2,000-6,000 and going upto those with flying time of 03 to 03.05 hrs with a range of Rs. 6,500 to 18,600.
Airlines will need to sell 40% of seats below mid-point of the fare band on each flight. Most airlines have started bookings with air services set to resume from May 25th. There may not be any requirement to quarantine domestic passenger said aviation minister HS Puri. The rules of different states will need to be followed. It does not seem domestic flyers will need to be quarantined, said Puri.
He also said the new protocol for flying has also been finalized that, among other things, prohibits eating on board (except on health ground) (advises pregnant women, aged and people with health issues not to fly for now and check in bag tags that passengers used to get being replaced by smss. People staying in containment zones and those who have been detected Covid-19 positive in the last two months not to allow flying.
And if they do so, penal action will be taken against them. Mean while, the economy one way fares fixed by the government, that do not include user development fee of airports, passengers security fees (Rs. 150 for domestic) and GST, will be in force till 11:59pm of August 2020.

- A category flight, under 40 minutes times, Fare Rs. 2,000 to 6,000, Delhi to Jaipur.
- B Category flight, under 40 to 60 minutes, Fare Rs. 2,500 to 7,500, Delhi to Lucknow.

- E Category flight, under 120 to 150 minutes, Fare Rs. 4,500 to 13,000, Delhi-Agartala/Bengalore/Goa.
- F Category flight, under 150 to 180 minutes, Fare Rs. 5,500 to 15,700, Delhi-Imphal/ Kochi/ Mangalore.

- Flyers not allowed consuming any eatables except on health ground.
- Pregnant women and those with health issues advice to avoid air travels in first phase.
- Those staying in containment zone and those who are Covid-19 positive can’t flight, will face penal action.
- Web-Check-in, only one cabin bag, one check-in bag allowed.
- Download bag tag and stick its print out on check-in bag. If unable to take printout, write name and PNR on paper and string it to bag.
- Children below 14 don’t read Aarogya Setu Aap.
