Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandra Sekhar Rao decided to promote the SSC students, who are scheduled to appear 2020 March exams. The SSC exams in the state were postponed due to Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020.

The Chief Minister reviewed the situation with educational minister and other officials at Pragathi Bhavan on Monday. CM announced that based on students performance in internal assessment exams they would be promoted to higher classes as it would not be possible to conduct exams in the present situation of rising Covid-19 cases.

CM also said that decision of Degree and PG exams will be taken later after assessing the situation. The Telangana government deferred the High Court decision on conducting the exams except GHMC, Ranga Reddy and Medchal districts limits. The government had conducted three papers in the March 2020, after Covid-19 cases started rising in the state, the government had to defer it for the first time after the High Court intervene.
