Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandra Sekhar Rao announced an exgratia of Rs. 5 Cr, a residential plot and a govt job of group-1 cadre to the kin of colonel Santosh Babu, who sacrificed his life for the sake of country.

KCR also said on Friday other 19 mortyral Army personnel’s families would be given Rs. 10 Lakh each. He said he would personally meet the family of colonel Santosh Babu, who hails from Suryapet soon and handover the benefits from the government. For other army personnel benefits would be extended through union defence minister Raj Nath Singh.

State governments should extend support to the families apart from the centers assistance, he said. This support gives the families of army personnel confidence.
