Vijayawada: A Boat carrying 60 and above passengers in the river Godavari from Gandi Pochama to Paapi Kondalu drowned in the river near Polavaram Project on Sunday Afternoon.

           Most of the passengers washed away in the water, when the boat drowns in Devi Patnam Mandal near Kurbuluru Village. The local people who were near by the river bank rescued the drown and saved 27 members.

          The officials & rescue team moved to the incident spot. The collectors of East and West Godavari reviewing the incident.
