Hyderabad: A senior IFS officer, AP Principal Chief Conservator officer Dr. V. Bhasker Ramana Murthy committed suicide on Thursday at Nagole by jumping from a nine storied apartment. He was to retire in August 2021.

According to the police, they are yet to ascertain the reason as he did not leave behind a suicide note. The family too did not suspect any foul play. The officer’s wife in her complaint said that his extreme step may be for any official reason. The 1987 batch IFS officer was incharge of Coastal Zone Management in AP. He had been on leave since July, citing personal reasons.
