Amaravathi: Justice Jitendra Kumar Maheshwari appointed as the first Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High Court on Thursday. President Ram Nath Kovind issued the appointment orders on Thursday and the same was notified by the Union Law Department.

  Justice Maheshwari is transferred from Madhya Pradesh High Court. He is in number 2 place in the court.

  Justice Maheshwari born in 25th June 1961 and enrolled as a lawyer in 1995. He started his practice in Madhya Pradesh High Court. He was appointed as Additional Judge on MP High Court in November 25th 2005. And he is appointed as permanent Judge in 2008. He had vast knowledge in Civil, Criminal and Constitutional cases.

  Present ACJ Justice C. Praveen Kumar will continue in No. 2 position A.P High Court.
