Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh initiating anti-plastic awareness by offering free vegetables for used plastic bottles and bags. The government offering vegetables in a Rythu bazaar in Tenali in Guntur District.

                Consumers would get free vegetables of the same weight of the plastic waste which they give to the Rythu bazaar officials. It would also help reusable jute and cotton bags.

          Tenali MLA Annabhatula Siva Kumar and Municipal officers launched the program on Saturday in Tenali in the Burripalem road in Guntur District. The officers launched the program with a barter system in one of the Rythu bazaar in Tenali. Four Rythu bazaar’s are in Tenali.
