Vijayawada: The AP irrigation minister Anil Kumar Yadav expressed happiness on the starting of Polavaram project works as per the schedule from November 1^st. he asserted that the HC verdict was vindication of the government stand on reverse tendering. He assured that Polavaram as well as all other projects would be completed in time.

        The AP Government started Polavaram project works and hydel works on Friday. The mega engineering and infra structure limited company performed land pooja to the works. This company bagged the Polavaram head works and earth-cum-rockfill dam Hydro power station through reverse tendering.       

The AP high court clearing the decks, the state government issued orders entrusting head works of the Polavaram projects as well as the hydel works to MEIL. This company got the Polavaram works with a less of 12.6 percent compared to the state government’s base price.
