
BJP Meets Governor Today: Planning to Form Govt in Maharashtra
Mumbai: The BJP and Siva Sena leaders came to an understanding to resolve the Stalemate in formation of new government in Maharashtra will come to an end today. The two party leaders discussed about the formation of government and as well as the power sharing in the cabinet 50:50 to both parties.
The BJP leaders are schedule to meet Governor Bagath Singh Koshyari on Thursday. Siva Sena Chief Udhav thakare has called a meeting of his party MLAs at his residence. BJP and Siva Sena ministers met for the first time after the Assembly results on Wednesday and announced the meeting with Governor.
Although the official agenda for the meeting was “Wet Drought” in the state. Two senior leaders of the Siva Sena Eknath Shinde and Ram Das Kadam held a separate meeting with Chief Minister Fadnavis after the ministers meeting. The two party MLAs came to an understanding of to share the CM’s post two and half years each are may settle a deputy CM’s post. BJP leader Sudhir Mungantiwar said that the alliance of BJP-Sena will form the govt. under the leadership of Fadnavis.
The Sena remains adamant on equal sharing of power and Chief Ministers Post. The Sena senior leader Sanjay Raote said that BJP must accept Sena’s demand for the Chief Minister post for the first two and half years, if the alliance govt is to be form. There is a roomer in Maharashtra political scenario, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari is a probable of Chief Minister’s candidate instead of Fadnavis.
