Fadnavis resigned
Mumbai: Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis submitted his resignation to Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Friday. BJP leaders said that in Maharashtra BJP- Shiv Sena alliance is going to form a Government. ‘Whichever’ comes to power in Maharashtra, it will be formed under the leadership of BJP, said BJP leaders.
Shiv Sena has closed all the doors for talks from the day of results. But the BJP is still open for talks, said Devendra Fadnavis. Addressing at a press conference Fadnavis said that ‘he and his party were surprised by the Uddhav Thackeray’s declaration on the day of the results that all the options are open for Shiv Sena. “The mandate given by the people was for the alliance”, said Fadnavis. He said that he tried to contact the Uddhav Thackeray and Shiv Sena leaders neither received nor returned the calls.

About sharing the Chief Minister’s post for 2.5 years Fadnavis said that no decision was taken on the Chief Minister’s post. BJP President Amit Shah and senior leader Nitin Gadkari too said that no such decision was taken, said Fadnavis.
