New Delhi: AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh was arrested by ED on Wednesday at New Delhi in his official residence. ED made search for nine hours in his official residence relating to the case of Delhi Liquor Policy scam.

After the searches, ED taken him into custody in a money laundering case linked to the investigation into the Delhi liquor policy. The ED took Sanjay Singh to its head quarter in New Delhi for interrogation.

The liquor policy case is being investigated by both the CBI and the ED. Under the policy, introduced in November 2021, the Government withdrew from retail sale of liquor and allowed private licensees to run stores.
