Hyderabad: Eenadu Group Chairman Ch. Ramoji Rao (88) passed away at 4:50 am on Saturday in a private hospital at Nanakramguda in Hyderabad.

He had been suffering from health problems for some time and was shifted to Star Hospital in Nanakramguda when his condition worsened. He succumbed to severe health issues. He passed away while receiving ventilator support.

Ramoji Rao experienced breathing difficulties on the 5th June, prompting doctors to implant a stent. After the stent procedure, his health became critical, leading to his hospitalization. For some time, he had been dealing with various health problems and had previously been hospitalized for treatment.

He oversaw Eenadu Group, Ramoji Film City, Margadarsi Chit Funds, and Priya Foods. Under Ramoji Rao Chairmanship, Eenadu became a major force in Telugu media.
