Excise officials raided on an illicit liquor factory and arrested nine members and seized Rs. 1.75 crore worth of material at Mulakalacheruvu

Kadapa: Excise officials raided on an illicit liquor factory and arrested nine members and seized Rs. 1.75 crore worth of material at Mulakalacheruvu in Tamballapally constituency in Annamayya district.

On the tip of information, under the leadership of Kadapa Excise Asst. Commissioner Chandrasekhar Reddy the Annamayya Excise Superintendent and other staff raided on the illicit liquor factory on Friday, which was running illegally by the local TDP leaders.

The Excise officials closed the gates after entering factory and conducted raids. They found the manufacturing material of illicit liquor containing spirit, different liquor labels, bottles, caps of the bottles and the machines which was using in manufacturing the liquor. And also they seized the liquor flavours of Whisky and Brandy etc.

The Excise officials arrested local TDP leader Surendra Naidu and nine workers who are on the duty at the time of raid. The king-pins of the illicit factory are not traced out. They are the plant manager Janardhan Rao and Katta Raju. The Excise officials formed four teams to trace and arrest them. There are allegations this factory is running under the control and the supervision of prominent TDP leader of Tamballapally constituency and in the erstwhile Chittoor district.

This illicit factory organizers are very close to the Government Head’s alleging the local people. The Excise officers seized 70 empty cans, 10K empty bottles of 180 ML, thousands of bottle caps, 35 Litres of spirit of 30 cans, 48 cans of 38 Litres of Spurious liquor ready of bottling. They also seized 15, 024 bottles of Spurious liquor which was ready to supply to the market.

The Excise police also seized 10 boxes of Kerala Malt boxes liquor from the residence of K. Surendra Naidu at Kammavaripalle Village. They also seized one milk supplying vehicle which is loaded 40 boxes of spurious liquor to the belt shop at Timma Samudram and arrested the belt shop owner.
