Bengaluru: ISRO unveiled the inaugural photograph captured by the camera onboard Chandrayaan-3’s Vikram lander on Wednesday subsequent to its lunar touchdown.

ISRO shared images of the Moon, taken from the lander’s perspective, and confirmed the establishment of a communication link between the Ch-3 Lander and MOX-ISTRAC in Bengaluru.

The images depict the level expanse of the lunar terrain and reveal a portion of the Vikram lander’s leg, accompanied by the spacecraft’s distinct shadow. ISRO further conveyed that Vikram had achieved its landing on a relatively even lunar surface.
