Hyderabad: BRS MLC K Kavitha resigned for the post of MLC in speaker format and her primary membership of the BRS party on Wednesday. She took this decision after BRS party suspended her from the party on Tuesday alleging that she is involving in anti-party activities.

I never aspired for any posts. I am sending a resignation letter to the Legislative Council Chairman. I am also sending resignation from the primary membership of BRS to KCR speaking in the presence of her supporters. She claimed her father faced pressure from within the party to act against her.

She announced the resignation decision to her MLC post and party primary membership at a press conference held at Telangana Jagruthi Headquarters. In her address at the press conference she alleged that Harish Rao and J Santosh Kumar were hatching conspiracies to weaken and grab control from the KCR family.
