New Delhi: Union Government nominated four eminent personalities to Rajya Sabha under the Presidential quota selection. Union Government nominated music maestro Ilaiya Raaja from Tamil Nadu, sprint athlete PT Usha from Kerala, philanthropist and social worker Veerendra Heggade from Karnataka and screenwriter KV Vijayendra Prasad from Telugu States.

BJP focused on South India to strengthen the party by providing four nominated Rajya Sabha seats. Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin, Tamil Superstar Rajnikanth, Kamal Hassan, Telugu hero Chiranjeevi congratulated Ilaiya Raaja for his selection as a Rajya Sabha member.
