Chennai: Without the permission of Illaya Raja, no one cannot use the lyrics composed by the legendary musician Illaya Raja. The Madras High Court delivered a judgement on the writ petition of Illaya Raja filed by long back recently.

    In that writ petition Illaya Raja urged the court that without his permission, without payment of royalty the singers are any other persons not to perform his composed lyrics in any programs or functions. Illaya Raja issued notices to the legendary singer SP Bala Subramanyam not to use his composed lyrics in any of his programs without his permission.

         Later the two legendary musician and singer came to a compromise. The legendary singer SPB performed along with co-singers KJ Jesudas and others on the eve of 76^th birthday celebrations of Ilaya Raja on 02^nd June, 2019 in a private function hall in Chennai.

      These two singers sung many melody songs under the music direction of Ilaya Raja in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam languages. The legendary musician Ilaya Raja composed music nearly 1,000 films in different languages. Recently Ilaya Raja called the Tamil Directors and Producers who used his composed  lyrics in a film and it is called an impotence’s.
