Chennai: Pandian Stores fame, Tamil TV actress Chitra (28) allegedly killed herself at a hotel in the early hours of Wednesday in Nazarathpet on the outskirts of the city.

She was known for her leading role in the serial ‘Pandian Stores’ telecast on Vijay TV. According to the police sources, they are questioning her husband who was allegedly present at the hotel. Chitra started her career in 2013 as an anchor for Makkal TV and also worked for Jaya TV and Zee Tamil. She became popular with Pandian Stores, a serial which started in 2018, playing a character named Mullai. She was married to businessmen Hemanth in August 2020. Police is investigating the case.
