10 Year Boy Steals Rs. 10 L from Bank in MP: Gone in 30 Seconds

Indore: A Ten year boy stole Rs. 10 Lakhs in 30 seconds from a co-operative bank during peak hour Jawad area of Madhya Pradesh Neemuch district. The boy stole the amount without any staff or customer realizing the theft. According to the Neemuch SP Manoj Raj, said that the CCTV footage shows the child, dressed in rags, walk into the bank at 11:00am and enter a cashier’s cubical.

Customers standing infront of the counter had no idea that a theft was going on right under their noses, the boy was hidden by the desk. The minor was short so people standing infront of the cash counter couldn’t see him stealing, said SP. Police have discovered from the CCTV footage that the minor was being directed by a man, who lingered on inside the bank for around 30 minutes.

As soon as he saw a cashier move from the counter and go to another room, he signaled the minor, who was standing outside. The boy than darted in, store a bundle of notes from the counter, and fled. He was in and out in less than 30 seconds. Its only when he started sprinting upon reaching the exit that an alarm was raised and a security personnel ran after him.

Jawad police station incharge OP Mishra said CCTV footage outside the bank shows that the man and boy ran in different directions after the crime. Several suspects have been detained the security guard is also being interrogated said Mishra. Police believe a gang conducted a recce of the bank and sent to the minor.
