Varanasi: A massive fire caused the death of at least three people, including two children and more than 60 injured at a Durga Puja Pandal at Bhadohi in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday night.

According to the official sources, the fire broke out at around 9 pm when aarti was being performed at the pandal, adding that an electric short circuit may have caused the fire. The injured were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

District Magistrate Gaurang Rathi said that a 45 year old woman and a 12 year old boy were killed in the fire last night, while a 10 year old boy died at the hospital this morning.
