ACB Court granted two-day custody of Chandrababu Naidu
Vijayawada: The ACB Court Judge Hima Bindu granted two days custody of AP Former Chief Minister N Chandra Babu Naidu to AP CID on Friday in the Skill Development scam case. The CID will question Chandra Babu on the funds diversion illegally to Shell companies in the Skill Development Scam.
The court directed the CID to question Naidu in Rajahmundry Central Jail where he is currently lodged. The ACB Judge directed the CID to conduct the questioning from 9:30am to 5:00pm. The court allowed the lawyer for 5 minutes to every hour to meet Chandra Babu for guidance and also court said that the Chandra Babu lawyer should not present at the time of interrogation. The court also directed that photographs and videos of the questioning should not be released.
The court asked the CID to submit names of the officials who will be questioning him. The ACB judge directed that after the end of the two-day custody, Naidu should be produced before the court through video-conference. The ACB Court pronounced its orders after Andhra Pradesh High Court dismissed Naidu’s petition to quash the FIR registered against him and to set aside his judicial remand.
Earlier in the day, the ACB Court extended his judicial custody till September 24.
