Vijayawada: Senior IAS Officer, irrigation department of AP special chief secretary Adityanath Das was appointed as the successor of Smt. Neelam Sahni as chief secretary of AP.

The GAD issued appointment orders of Adityanath Das as Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday. He is going to assume his duties as Chief Secretary on December 31^st, after the retirement of Neelam Sahni.

Adityanath Das is having vast experience in irrigation department in the capacities of secretary, principal secretary and special chief secretary. He served as collector, Warangal in the then Andhra Pradesh between 1999-2001. He was as the director of M&UD in 2006-2007.

After the bi-furcation of the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, he served in irrigation, education department in various capacities.
