AICC selected Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu(58) is the new Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh
Shimla: The AICC selected Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu(58), as the new Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh. He will take oath at 11 am on Sunday and he won as MLA from Nadaun in Hjamirpur district.
He was elected four times as MLA from Nadaun constituency. Mukesh Agnihotri will be the Deputy Chief Minister. Speaking to the media persons after his selection as CM he said that Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri and I will work as a team. I started my political career at the age of 17 years. I will never be able to forget what the Congress party has done for me.
State Congress chief Pratibha Singh, the wife of Virbhadra Singh, and Mukesh Agnihotri had been angling for the Chief Minister’s post. We accept the decision taken by the Congress high command, she said to the reporters. The Congress came to power after defeating the BJP in the assembly election by winning 40 of the 68 assembly seats.
